Vox is sweet, charming, educated, interested and connected. With Andri it looks like they could meaningfully shift the course of Zehyrian history and bring them closer to Earth politically.

Andri is a beautiful, educated diplomat, scientist and (per your MOTE prompt) engineer. I'm not saying I'm rooting against my old NPC but our girl can do better. :)
All true, though it's hilarious watching you call one of your favorite NPCs "disreputable," lol. The Vox is partially a response to the fact that it's a bit weird that Andri isn't with someone like him.
Also, I think it's very indicative which genre this primarily works in. As straight science fiction I would totally expect Andri and the Vox of Zehyr to be a power couple about social development and technology for N volumes.
